Storytellers say that ancient monk Pasquale de Baylon created an aphrodisiac using egg yolk, sugar and marsala wine. It was a great success, so that ‘til today zabajone is worldwide appreciated. Our Zabajone is made with a special selection: superior old marsala wine by Fratelli Lombardo, producing wines since 1881. This paste resemble an exclusive amber color, and joining the egg yolk produce a rich and intense taste.
